B2B Alliances is a referral and networking group focusing on business-to-business sales. We exist for the benefit of our clients and each other.

Each of our members relies on repeat business and customer referrals for their success. They know the shortest path to Profit is to Provide for their customers’ needs. “Provide to Profit.” That philosophy carries forward to B2B Alliances in two ways.

  1. A member is able to expand the resources he or she can provide to each client.
  2. A member profits most when they provide support, insight, encouragement and direct referrals to their fellow members (Pay It Forward).

By sharing our experience and knowledge, we help each other provide the highest level of service to our clients. Net, net everyone wins.


B2B Alliances does not focus on the quantity of referrals within the group. We focus on the quality of referrals and collaboration for converting a referral into a quality customer relationship, hence the word “Alliances” in our name. Moreover, we share more than referrals. We share resources and information.

Just giving another member a referral is only the starting point, not the final goal. Once the referral is identified, every member is encouraged to contribute to helping the receiving member create a meaningful, quality relationship with the person referred.

And we ask the referring member to maintain contact with the referred client throughout the process. The referring member has the best relationship with the client initially and is well-positioned to gain feedback on how the receiving member is relating to the client.

By working together, we insure that our member who received the referral will provide the highest level of customer service. Net, net our members benefit and our clients also benefit.


B2BAlliances meets the second and fourth Thursday each month from 11:30a – 1:00p. We do not follow a fixed script for our meetings. Rather, we choose from an à la carte menu of sorts based on our goals and needs for that particular meeting. Here are some of those choices:

Share & Showcase
A member presentation to the group. The member shares an actual client interaction and in doing so showcases unique aspects of his or her business and approach.
Member self-introductions
Each member has 1-3 minutes, depending on our schedule, to tell the group something about themself. This is not a memorized, regurgitated slogan. Rather it is an explanation of how the member conducts business and what makes him or her unique.
Recent Referral Reviews
B2B Alliances referrals are made via a secure online form and each member receives a copy of the referral. We review all referrals made since the last meeting to give every member a chance to participate in and contribute to the referral.
Ongoing Referral Follow-Ups
We continually follow-up on all outstanding referrals until their completion. We follow-up to make certain the referral is progressing successfully and to determine if any member can assist the process.
Fishing
Each member can identify a company or person they want to gain an introduction to.

 

We restrict membership to business professionals who derive the significant majority of their revenue from sales to businesses.

Membership Requirements
  • Significant majority of revenue from sales to businesses.
  • 1 year in business (minimum)
  • No MLM companies
Prospective member application process
  • Attend 2 meetings
    • 1st meeting: Invited by member
    • 2nd meeting: Invited by group consensus
  • Written Application (submitted via website)
    • 3 references (recent clients or business associates)
    • Official docs (DBA, license, etc.)
  • Membership committee reviews application, meets with applicant, recommends to membership.
  • Membership votes on new members (Secret ballot - 2/3 vote)
